I made this Monopoly board for my husband as a Christmas gift back in the '80s (wow!). It is all wood veneers from a place here in the Bronx that no longer exists called Constantine's. It had the most incredible marquetry pieces and edgings, brass strips and exotic wood veneers. We used to play Monopoly with friends almost once a week on the regular board, but really felt special to play on a board with our own hometown streets.
